Mytologi med inspiration och rötter i utställningen på översta våningen av Röhsska berättas av dansare från både Indien och Sverige. Den klassiska indiska dansen kallas Bharata natyam och den indiska guden Shiva får extra fokus i sin form av Tandava, den kosmiske dansaren. En föreställning i två akter där dansarna beskriver en del av den brokiga gudavärlden inom hinduismen på ett estetiskt, uttrycksfullt och taktmagiskt sätt.
Julgalbandhi Dance Group Gbg startades redan 2006 av Raneesh Sadanandan med drömmen att skapa indiska dansföreställningar och dansmöjligheter i Göteborg och Sverige. På scen denna gång ser vi Anita Baht, Annelie Holmquist, Aswathy Mukundan, Divya Suresh, Shri Raksha Jayashankar, Niharika Sharma, Parvathi Venkitachalam, Priyalakshmi Sudhadevi Rajasekar, Raneesh Sadanandan, Sheetal Reddy Arrabotu, Sahana Shanmugasundaram, Shruthi Dinakaran, Soujanya Chetlur Appilai, Sruthi Sreejith, Vikashini Gopalakrishnan.

Have you ever seen temple sculptures? Now you get the chance to see them live! 15 classically trained dancers offer a splendor of colours. Mythology with inspiration and roots in the exhibition on the top floor of Röhsska is told by dancers from both India and Sweden.
The classical Indian dance is called Bharata natyam and the Indian god Shiva gets extra focus in his form of Tandava, the cosmic dancer. A performance in two acts where the dancers describe part of the motley world of gods within Hinduism in an aesthetic, expressive and rhythmically magical way.
Julgalbandhi Dance Group Gbg was founded back in 2006 by Raneesh Sadanandan with the dream of creating Indian dance performances and dance opportunities in Gothenburg and Sweden.

Our cash registers are temporarily cash-free. The museum card is valid at the Röhsska museum, The Gothenburg Museum of Art, the Museum of Gothenburg and the Maritime Museum and Aquarium. Additional admission charge is required for certain exhibitions and events. The museum card gives a 20% discount on exhibitions with an increased entrance fee. The museum card is a document of value and may only be used by one person. Lost cards are blocked by the museum.
