Har ni någon gång sett vackra tempelskulpturer? Nu får ni chansen att se dem – men i fullt liv! Klassiskt skolade dansare från Jugalbandhi Dance Group GBG bjuder på en prakt av färg, form och rytm som garanterat kommer att beröra er djupt.

The dance performance is inspired by the Röhsska Museum’s exhibition Inspiration East Asia, where ancient mythology and artistic expressions from East Asia serve as a creative springboard. Interpreted through classical Indian dance, these stories are brought to life by artists from both India and Sweden. This thousand-year-old dance tradition remains vibrant and captivating to this day.

Between 2 PM and 5 PM, you’ll also have the opportunity to witness the dancers’ transformation, step by step, from everyday individuals into cultural heritage bearers. From the first hair arrangement to the final brushstroke of red paint on hands and feet—this transformation is an art form in itself!
