Collection of Industrial design

The museum has a collection of industrial design with an emphasis on the latter half of the twentieth century and on the twenty-first century. The collection is mainly Swedish industrial design, but also has Nordic design and European and Western products that influenced the development of design. The collection of industrial design is relatively small and the museum is actively working to acquire significant artefacts that can be considered important in the depiction of design history. Prioritised groups of objects are apparatuses and industrial products from the 1800s and the first decades of the 1900s. The museum particularly wants to acquire industrial products from the 1800s and the Machine Age of the early 1900s.
