The Röhsska Museum has several authentic 18th century milieus that display interior art from the period’s different style epochs. The Hökälla Dining Room was donated to the museum already when the museum opened in 1916 and the interior from Hökälla estate was assembled on the first floor. The Hökälla Manor was located on Hisingen, in the north of Gothenburg.
Rebuilding the 18th Century
The 18th century interiors on the second floor are as of January 12, 2014 closed due to the ongoing rebuilding work of the exhibitions. Many of the museum objects that are not currently on display, are available in our web catalog Search the collection.
